The Inclusive Lab is an Australian owned and operated rainbow family business creating products, resources and services that help make inclusion easier, brighter and more practical.
We are proudly intersectional. That means we understand that inclusion is never just about one part of who someone is. People can be LGBTQIA+, disabled, neurodivergent, culturally diverse, First Nations, older, younger, carers, parents, workers, learners and community members all at once.
That is why our work is designed to celebrate the full mix of people, families and communities around us.
The Inclusive Lab was created by a rainbow forever family with lived experience of disability, parenting, diverse culture, community advocacy and inclusion work.
Our family story shapes what we do. We know how powerful it can be when children see themselves reflected in toys, books, learning resources and everyday spaces. We also know how much it matters when workplaces, schools, sports and communities move beyond good intentions and make inclusion visible, practical and real.
Before creating The Inclusive Lab, our founders helped lead marriage equality campaigning in Regional NSW and have spent many years working across LGBTQIA+ inclusion, disability inclusion, community engagement, education, advocacy and organisational change.
Our team brings both personal and professional lived experience. We do not approach inclusion as a trend or a tick box. We approach it as something that affects real people, real families and real communities every day.
The Inclusive Lab creates colourful and practical inclusion concoctions for people, workplaces, sports, schools and communities.
Some of our current work includes:
Inclusive toys and learning resources
Pride flags, pins and visibility products
Diversity and inclusion calendars
Campaign ideas and awareness day resources
Inclusion consulting and education support
Practical tools for workplaces, schools, sports and community groups
Our product range is still growing, but our purpose is clear. We want to help people feel seen, respected and included.
Inclusion does not have to be complicated.
Sometimes it starts with a flag on a desk, a doll that reflects disability, a resource that uses the right language, a calendar that helps people plan meaningful conversations, or a workplace that takes the time to learn.
Small things can send big messages.
They can say:
You are welcome here.
Your family matters.
Your identity is respected.
Your experience is real.
You belong.
That is the kind of everyday inclusion we want to help create.
We make inclusion practical, friendly and easy to understand.
We believe good inclusion work should be:
Clear
Useful
Accessible
Warm
Evidence informed
Connected to real people’s lives
We also believe inclusion should have a bit of colour, joy and imagination. After all, this is The Inclusive Lab. It is a place where ideas bubble away, new resources are tested, and inclusive concoctions come to life.
Whether you are looking for inclusive products, help planning diversity days, support with staff education, or practical inclusion consulting, The Inclusive Lab can help you create something meaningful.
We are proudly based in Australia and support people, workplaces, schools, sports and communities who want to make inclusion more visible, more thoughtful and more real.
Welcome to The Inclusive Lab. Let’s make inclusion together.
